Brow Lift

What is a Brow Lift?

A brow lift procedure is a rejuvenation procedure of the upper one-third of the face. With aging, gravity can cause descent of the eyebrow. In addition, repetitive contraction of the muscles of the upper face can cause wrinkles and fine lines. A brow lift procedure elevates the position of the brows and weakens the muscles that lead to fine lines and wrinkles.

What to Expect:

The procedure is performed in the operating room under general anesthesia. The incisions are made within the hair-bearing region to conceal the scar. Dr. Davis performs this technique endoscopically, in which a camera and small instruments are used. The procedure duration is typically 3 hours.

After surgery, a soft dressing is placed around your scalp. This dressing will be removed 3-4 days after surgery. Bruising and swelling are common after this procedure, however gradually improve with time. Head elevation and icing the surgical area can help minimize swelling and bruising.
